About the Competition
The 1st National Article Writing Competition 2026 is being organised to encourage participants to critically analyse contemporary legal and technological developments shaping modern society. The competition aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their research, writing, and analytical skills on evolving legal issues in India.
The competition focuses on interdisciplinary discussions surrounding law, technology, constitutional governance, digital rights, artificial intelligence, and emerging regulatory frameworks.

Eligibility
The competition is open to students enrolled in:
- Undergraduate Law Programmes (3-year LL.B. / 5-year Integrated LL.B.)
- Postgraduate Law Programmes (LL.M.)
Participants must be enrolled in a recognised institution in India.
Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
Submission Guidelines
- The submission must be original and unpublished.
- Plagiarism exceeding 10% shall lead to disqualification.
- AI-generated content without substantial original contribution and editing is prohibited.
- Word Limit: 1500–3000 words (excluding footnotes)
- Citation Style: Bluebook 20th Edition / ILI Citation Style

- Line Spacing: 1.5

Review Process
All submissions will undergo a blind peer-review process by the Editorial Board. Essays will be evaluated based on legal research, originality, clarity, structure, and policy relevance. The decision of the panel shall be final.
Anonymity Requirement
The author’s identity must not be disclosed anywhere in the manuscript.
